Dr. Mauro holds the prestigious title of a board-certified Nurse Anesthesiologist, with an extensive educational background that underscores her commitment to excellence. She earned her Master’s Degree in Anesthesia from Gonzaga University. Her Doctorate Degree in Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) was obtained from Missouri State University, showcasing her dedication to continuous learning and professional development. In addition, she holds a Subspecialty Certification in Nonsurgical Pain Management, emphasizing her commitment patient comfort during treatments.
Prior to her specialization in anesthesia, Dr. Mauro honed her skills as a trauma ICU nurse and flight nurse, showcasing her well-rounded and diverse medical foundation.
A distinguished military career marked Dr. Mauro's professional journey, spanning 22 years and culminating in her retirement as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2014. Her military service not only provided invaluable leadership skills but also afforded her the opportunity to interact with extraordinary individuals and explore diverse cultures around the world.
Dr. Mauro's passion for medical aesthetics led her to specialize in PDO (Polydioxanone) threads, a non-surgical facelift technique. Her dedication to mastering this art is evident in her commitment to continuous education, with frequent advanced training sessions in PDO threads with leaders in the field to include Dr. Karimi, Francine Young and Dr. Gideon Kwok.
