Neurotoxin Injections for Migraines

Neurotoxin injections have been proven to be an effective treatment for reducing migraine-related pain.

Injections are safely delivered through a tiny needle that allows for a controlled amount of neurotoxin to be served to the required locations, which for migraines may be the forehead, temples, and the back of your head and neck. These are often referred to as “trigger points,” meaning they are the areas where the migraine originates.

Is it a Headache or a Migraine?

More than pain? It's a migraine.

Migraines involve other symptoms besides just the pain of a headache. They may include dizziness, nausea, sensitivity to light and sound, and severe fatigue. In addition, migraines can occur in different phases, including blurred vision, mood disturbances, and trouble speaking.

The pain caused by migraines can be debilitating–making it difficult to perform daily tasks, get essential sleep, or enjoy life.

Botox and other neurotoxin injections for migraines are available here, at Full Spectrum MedSpa. Rest assured, you're in the best hands with Dr. Deb—she holds a Subspecialty Certification in Nonsurgical Pain Management, emphasizing her commitment patient comfort during treatments.

Neurotoxin injections temporarily prevent muscle movements and neurotransmitters from sending pain signals to the brain. This helps to reduce the pain caused by migraines and allows patients to perform tasks at work and enjoy daily life without painful interruptions.

The effects are temporary, so you will need to receive ongoing treatments. The most common injection timeline involves a treatment every 3-5 months or so, but can be adjusted according to your your individual migraine relief needs.
